Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to enroll in or change your health insurance coverage, but you don’t have to wait to begin planning. You can preview plans to explore available options, compare prices, and estimate your tax credit even before you create an account.
Preview plans on the Your Health Idaho website and browse available health and dental plans for next year, without logging in or creating an account, from October 1 to October 14. When you enter a few basic details, you’ll receive your estimate tax credit amount which will be included in the monthly premiums when you view the plans available in your area.
How to Preview Plans
You can sort plans by type, deductible, health insurance company, and plan features. This makes it easy to view your health plan options in your price range from companies you’re already familiar with.
Once you’ve filtered your preferences, you can compare them side by side. The comparison provides a summary of coverage and details on each plan, including deductibles, co-pays, provider networks, and monthly premiums, so you can make an informed decision.
- Visit YourHealthIdaho.org and click Shop Plans starting October 1 to begin browsing. You are not enrolling in health insurance by browsing. You are simply window shopping for available plans for the upcoming year.
- Enter basic information like your zip code, household size, estimated household income, and the ages of your household members. You do not need to provide your name, Social Security number, or contact information to browse.
- You’ll see your estimated tax credit, and it will be applied to the monthly premiums of the plans you’re shopping for, so you will know what you might pay before you apply.
- Browse plans, compare costs, and explore coverage options. You can compare health insurance plans from multiple companies side by side to find what works for you and your family.
- If you already have an account and are logged in, you can also put a plan in your shopping cart. When Open Enrollment starts, you will be able to complete your purchase.
Preview plans from October 1 to October 14 and start shopping early. Complete your purchase during Open Enrollment from October 15 to December 15.
